Kati Kallio
Artistic director
Dance artist, dance filmmaker and dance teacher Kati Kallio has been one of the key people behind Loikka festival for all of its history. Kati’s previous responsibilities with Loikka include overseeing the festival’s audience outreach programs as well as organizing dance film screenings and workshops for schoolchildren and students. Additionally, she curates screenings for Loikka’s partner festivals. Karina Lujan
Producer
Producer, freelance art writer and dance teacher Karina Lujan is the newest Loikka team member. Her passion for dance and film is well- grounded in her diverse education and work experience in art education and administration, dance and physical theatre and in visual media. At Loikka she is working closely with the festival’s artistic director.

Thomas Freundlich
3D and 4K programming coordinator
Choreographer, dancer and filmmaker Thomas Freundlich is one of the leading dance film practitioners in Finland, with work ranging from dance short films to projection design for stage works and stereoscopic 3D projects. He has created some 35 contemporary choreographies both in Finland and internationally, and is the recipient of some 40 grants and awards from Finnish and international arts councils and festivals. www.freundlich.org

Beniamino Borghi
Film Traffic Coordinator
Dancer, choreographer, filmmaker, graphic designer, interior architect, beach guitar player, italian tortellini cook, carpenter, high tech addict, professional happy complainer. Currently he works as a dance artist and choreographer in Finland and develops interactive multimedia performances. At Loikka, Beniamino’s responsibilities include overseeing film and media traffic, helping coordinate the festival’s program and various events, and serving as Master Dancer of Parties.

Hanna Pajala-Assefa
LoikkaPro Coordinator
Choreographer-dancer Hanna Pajala-Assefa is one of the founding members of Loikka’s organizing association MAD Production, and the former Artistic Director of Loikka festival from 2008 to 2012. Hanna has worked widely as a choreographer, dancer and a producer of dance. She has choreographed stage and site-specific pieces and has worked as a director and choreographer in dance short films and video installations as well as in the performance arts. At Loikka, she oversees the festival’s series of LoikkaPro seminars for dance and cinema professionals, in addition to curating screenings for Loikka’s partner festivals in Finland and abroad.

Kimmo Alakunnas
Loikka Outreach coordinator
Actor, dancer, choreographer and dance filmmaker Kimmo Alakunnas has studied dance and choreography at Theatre Academy Helsinki and graduated in spring 2010 as Masters of Art. Kimmo has worked as an actor, dancer, choreographer and short film director. His previous works have mostly been dance performances for live audiences, dance short films and video art for a theater pieces.
